Jackson Rowe Introduces – ROWED INSPECTIONS

18 July 2024

ROWED INSPECTIONS is a brand name operated by Jackson Rowe, expanding our expertise in Project Management to include the work of Chartered Engineers to inspect, document and report on road and drainage works throughout the construction phases.

This new service aligns with a rise in requests from Local Authority Planners for development infrastructure which is to remain privately owned, to be independently inspected and signed off. The client obligation normally requires written reports and photographic evidence to be submitted to discharge planning conditions.

The Scope of Services offered by ROWED INSPECTIONS can be tailored to suit every development and client.

Services can include:

  • A scope of work plan identifying private roads and/or sewers and a corresponding numbered schedule.
  • A schedule of inspections at regular intervals to be called off by the Site Manager and/or Groundworker.
  • An inspection of the construction:
    • Inspections on completion of binder course
    • Inspections on completion of surface course and/or finished surface e.g. block paving.
    • Inspections during construction and on completion of drains and sewers.
    • Preparation of a report for each isolated road area, inclusive of a written narrative and photographic record
  • Reports issued to the Developer’s Planning Consultant and/or Technical department for submission to the Local Authority.

This service is already operational on a number of our clients’ developments and can be provided as a stand alone service or in conjunction with Project Management, Quantity Surveying or other project delivery scope.
